Find out more about NIVO LINE terrace supports
Terrace supports are plastic components used to create a supporting structure for various types of surfaces. They are used outdoors as part of the construction of terraces, balconies, loggias, and other spaces such as squares, fountains, cascades, and special structures.
There are two types of products: adjustable patio supports – they have a threaded connection for smooth height adjustment. They can be two-piece, where adjustment is achieved by horizontal movement of the base or head, or three-piece, where the height is adjusted using a nut connecting the base to the head. The maximum screw-in setting determines the lowest possible level, while the safe, manufacturer-specified maximum screw-out setting is the upper adjustment range. The bracket's name usually specifies its adjustment range.
The second type are fixed supports, often called bases. The lowest ones are for installing tiles in paving systems (on ground, ballast, concrete, sand, etc.) at a height of 2 mm, and higher ones, such as 8, 10, or 12 mm, can be stacked (up to three pieces) and divided into ½ or ¼ sections, making them very versatile and waste-free products.
The brackets are manufactured using plastic injection molding machines. A key factor is not only technological expertise and high-quality machinery, but above all, the material from which they are made. The origin of the polypropylene or polycarbonate granules directly impacts the parameters and characteristics of the products, including strength and durability. Imported brackets or those manufactured from materials of unknown origin pose a significant risk to user safety and the environment, and constitute the basis for potential customer complaints.
Brackets made of polypropylene with additives such as talc or chalk have a number of properties derived from the material used. The basic ones include high resistance to temperature, UV, and moisture, high flexural strength, a low coefficient of friction, chemical resistance to a wide range of bases and acids, and good electrical insulation.
Some brackets, such as fixed-height brackets made of polycarbonate, offer even better mechanical and thermal properties, offering exceptional durability and weather resistance. This material can also be used to create colorful and transparent elements.
Depending on the product, accessories are manufactured from various materials, ensuring their parameters and functional properties aid in the installation and operation of the supports. They have a significant impact on the quality of installation and the functional functionality of the surface.
Bracket washers - They serve to level surfaces, provide acoustic insulation, and allow for more precise leveling of surfacing materials. Most often, they are made of solid rubber, SBR, or elastomers.
Bracket washers – usually made from a pressure weld of SBR granules with a thermoplastic polymer elastomer. They provide subfloor leveling, waterproofing protection, slip resistance, and acoustic insulation.
Expansion wedges – used to create a gap between the surfacing material and all balcony or terrace elements. They provide protection for door frames, facades, and balustrades. They prevent panels from shifting and are used to wedge panels against uneven surfaces. They are manufactured from polypropylene using injection molding machines and are self-adhesive from EPDM.
The most important parameter is the strength of the bracket. As a structural support element, it should be the strongest possible. Professional brackets can withstand strengths exceeding 10 kN, or over 1000 kg of static load. Imported, amateur-made brackets can withstand even less than 250 kg. Brackets of unknown origin and strength can cause the structure to collapse.
Bracket testing determines their parameters not only after production but also how they will perform in built-up conditions. They also determine how they will react to UV radiation, high and low temperatures, and various pressure forces, as well as their impact and crush resistance.
Because the supports can be used to construct structures with various surfaces and qualities, as the manufacturer, we provide a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects. In B2B, longer warranties may be available, depending on the developer's or contractor's needs. Detailed information regarding warranty terms is included in the warranty card.
Multi-stage quality control during production and packaging allows us to deliver products of excellent quality. We are also committed to this through periodic testing and measurements as part of the National Technical Assessment.
We manufacture high-quality supports and accessories for ventilated patios. We also produce aluminum sidewall systems. We provide durable, functional, and safe solutions for the construction industry.
